Woman Thou Art

Every heart runs in tandem with universal truth;
A little more abstract than any sunset sky,
I forget how long ago I revelled in my youth,
Desire wants to make sure her eyes are open
Life is full of sunlight percolating through
Each breath drawn with such great affection,

My soul shall sing her moonlight serenade;
As the wind blows cold with his sword unstained.
The first star came forth like a golden blade,
And the night has been dark, yet beautiful.
She is always telling me that I am a woman,
This power shall guard me from tension.
